My most treasured memories of Mama are the endless conversations we had on the deck at Kobi's about our children. I had her full attention. She was always a mother first before anything. When I moved home in June of 2007 I looked forward to having many more of those talks with her about our kids and just everything. She had her stroke in October of that year, no more wise words for me like before. Selfishly, I felt cheated...(tears)...but I'm priviledged to have been with Frannie when Mama passed. It's like a gift, sad but done with love. That only happened to me once before, watching my father pass. Now there is no more sickness or aching body that you struggle with. Now there is pure love, peace, and happiness which is what I wished for them both. Suffer no more...love you and miss you already.
