Jodi was one in a million. We were instant friends as soon as we me; she was in 7th grade, I was in 8th. I remember when we would want to go to Indian Springs mall; her mom would let us borrow her car, I got to drive, because I was 16, Jodi was still 15! My very first vacation, without my family, was with Jodi! We went to Brandon, Mo.in her yellow Volkswagen. I think each of us maybe had $100, but we made it stretch! We lost touch for several years, and I was so happy to reunite on Facebook. I have pages and pages of personal messages, I will always treasure. Now my heart is broken because she has went home; at the same time I am so happy for her! She is reaping her rewards for all the good she did here on earth! I love and admire you, Jodi Shelton! You were one of a kind. I am praying for Jessica at this time, may God give you strength. Love, Bridget

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I recently lost my mother and know the pain of a broken heart. Our Heavenly Father feels our pain. Psalms 34:18 assures us that He is near to those broken at heart. He does, however, hold out a promise that in the very near future He will wipe out all tears of sorrow and pain from our eyes and death will be no more. (Revelation 21:3-5) He also promises to remember all those in the memorial tombs (graves) and restore them to life. (John 5:28,29) Until those words are fulfilled, may you find much peace and comfort in God and in His promises found in the Holy Scriptures.

Jodi standing with Blue's musician Joe Bonamassa... She and I had great seats and a great time. Joe actually spoke with her for several minutes before the show. I listen to their conversation. They were talking about getting children accepted into private school

I have known Jodi since she started elementary school. She was a great friend and so kind to my granddaughter when my daughter passed away. We will miss her coming by and sharing a movie or going to the movies with us. She will be sadly missed.
